I first looked at the Kingfisher Kooker during the state fair of Oklahoma around 16 years ago and knew that it was the smoker/grill I eventially wanted.
I love my Kingfisher Kooker. It is very high quality, easy to use and the food is great. You will want to get the second shelf and the cover. It cooks at a very consistant temperature, I am not sure but I think the water jacket helps keep the temp even. I cook ribs on the lower shelf and chickens and brisket on the top shelf, a lot of food. The smoker can also be used as a charcoal grill. Update:Using the Kooker for charcoal grilling is awesome, it is the best charcoal grill I have ever used. From just a couple of burgers or filling up the entire grill the Kingfisher Kooker is the only way to go!
I looked at the fancy stainless steel gas cookers at the box stores, but I am a charcoal and wood guy and the Kingfisher Kooker was my number one choice.
I bought the 36 inch combo kooker.
